R.C. Prasad Senior Consultant – Indirect Taxes, GST & Tax Litigation R.C. Prasad is a seasoned indirect tax professional with over three decades of experience spanning tax administration, advisory services, litigation management, and legal education. Possessing qualifications in MBA and LL.M., he brings a unique combination of administrative insight, legal expertise, and practical understanding of India's indirect tax regime.

Mr. Prasad served the Government of India in the Central Excise, Customs and Service Tax Department for more than twenty years. During his tenure, he gained extensive experience in tax administration, enforcement, adjudication, and regulatory compliance. Following his voluntary retirement from government service, he has been engaged in professional consultancy, assisting businesses and individuals in navigating complex indirect tax laws and regulatory requirements.

His professional practice is focused on GST advisory, tax litigation, compliance management, tax planning, and dispute resolution. He regularly advises clients on responses to departmental investigations, audit objections, show cause notices, adjudication proceedings, and appellate remedies before various statutory forums. His practical understanding of departmental processes and legal procedures enables him to provide effective and result-oriented solutions to taxpayers facing regulatory challenges.

Mr. Prasad has been actively associated with the GST regime since its conceptual stages and has contributed significantly to taxpayer education and professional training. He has conducted numerous workshops and training programmes for industry professionals, accountants, tax practitioners, and corporate executives. His expertise has also been recognised by government authorities, including invitations from the State Tax Department of Uttarakhand to conduct training sessions for senior GST officers.

In recognition of his professional standing, he has been nominated by the Rajkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry to its GST Committee, Export Committee, and the Gujarat State GST Coordination Committee, where he contributes to policy discussions and industry representations concerning indirect taxation and trade facilitation.

A respected author and commentator on taxation laws, Mr. Prasad serves as Advisor to Taxindiaonline (TIOL), one of India's most respected tax law publications. He regularly contributes analytical articles on GST and indirect taxation in both English and Hindi, helping professionals and businesses understand evolving legal and regulatory developments.

Mr. Prasad is also actively involved in legal academia. Having secured Second Rank in the LL.M. examination conducted by Saurashtra University, he is frequently invited as Guest Faculty by the University's Department of Law to deliver lectures on taxation and allied legal subjects to postgraduate law students.
